Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord, teach us to fear You above all. Make our homes fruitful in wisdom, our labor faithful, our speech kind, and our hands open to the needy.
Keep us walking in truth and love. Guard us from false teachers, proud ambition, sensuality, greed, and rebellion. Give us discernment without coldness, courage without arrogance, and love without compromise.
When suffering comes, make us sober-minded, prayerful, humble, and steadfast. Strengthen elders to shepherd willingly, and strengthen Your church to resist the devil firm in the faith.
We confess that we are prone to forget Your works, complain against Your providence, envy the wicked, and turn aside to idols. Remember Your covenant mercy. Save us, sanctify us, and keep us from stumbling, that all praise may be to You.
To Him who is able to keep us and present us blameless before Your glory with great joy, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, now and forever. Amen.
