Prayer 6-15-26

Father in heaven,
You are the Lord who gives wisdom, guards the upright, overrules the schemes of the wicked, establishes justice, and raises the poor from the dust. Your name is worthy to be praised from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Incline my heart to Your Word. Make me seek wisdom as treasure. Deliver me from shallow hearing, careless obedience, and secret love for crooked paths. Keep my feet in the way of righteousness.
Preserve me from the way of Balaam. Expose greed, double-mindedness, and the desire to bend Your will around my own. Teach me to fear You more than man, reward, reputation, or comfort. Thank You that no curse can overthrow Your blessing in Christ.
Make me sober before Your holiness. Teach me to love justice, protect the innocent, honor the order of household and public life, and refuse to hide sin under religious language. Above all, I thank You for the Lord Jesus Christ, who bore the curse on the tree, that sinners might receive blessing, forgiveness, and life.
Lord, You are exalted above the heavens, yet You stoop to the lowly. Lift the poor, comfort the barren, strengthen the weak, defend the oppressed, and make Your church a people of praise and mercy.
Let my whole day answer Your Word with faith, repentance, obedience, and worship. I pray through Jesus Christ, my wisdom, my King, my curse-bearer, and my hope. Amen.
